A Shift In The Landscape

The background photo you see is an area of King City that remains untouched by development. It is protected by Oak Ridges Moraine legislation, and it is literally minutes walk from the centre of the village.

In that field is a work of art created by world renowned sculptor, Richard Serra, who is regarded as one of the world’s greatest living artists.

On Saturday September 29th, 2018, at the McLaren Art Centre in Barrie,  Simone Estrin’s documentary film A Shift in The Landscape will be screened starting at 1:00pm.  This film documents the artwork from an aerial view, provides rare footage of the the artist, and highlights the efforts of the volunteers that have worked to preserve it.
